Happy Sunday! I hope that you are having an amazing weekend!
I just want to share with you today a few skincare bits that I have picked up recently. I go through phases with my skincare where I either am using the same products over and over without really thinking about it or I’m really excited about everything and I want to try a tonne of different products. Currently, I am the latter.
One of the main reasons I have renewed my love of skincare and beauty lately, is due to to the podcast You Beauty (https://www.mamamia.com.au/podcasts/you-beauty/).
Leigh Campbell is an expert who is always sharing the best of the best when it comes to beauty. Her opinion is well informed and if I’m honest, I would probably buy everything that she recommends!
Without further ado, I’ll get into what I’ve recently purchased:
- Andalou Naturals Meyer Lemon + C Creamy Cleanser for Brightening
My partner’s sister recommended this cleanser to me, so I decided to give it a go. It retails for only $19.99 at Priceline!
- The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum
Crazy as this may sound, but I haven’t purchased or tried any of the products from The Ordinary! This surprises even me, as it’s an extremely affordable brand that is well loved by many and is often discussed on the You Beauty podcast. This particular serum was recommended to suit my skin concerns, which is redness, tendency to breakout and pigmentation.
- Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner
Another cult beauty brand that I haven’t tried before! I’ve been wanting to try this particular toner for a while now, so picked it up recently from Sephora.
- Kora Organics Noni Glow Sleep Mask
I recently saw the release of this new Sleep Mask from Miranda Kerr’s classic brand, and it really intrigued me. I have never tried a sleep mask or overnight mask before, so I was super excited to try this out. I mentioned this to my partner a few weeks ago, so he actually surprised me and gifted this to me for Valentine’s Day!
- 100% Natural Jojoba Oil
This product has been discussed in detail on the You Beauty podcast, and I was really interested in trying it out. I learnt that jojoba oil is actually a wax, and is a multi-functional product that can be used on your face, hair, hands and body. I personally picked this up to use on my body mixed in with my moisturiser to help with hydration and improve the appearance of my skin.
- Lanate Body Cream
Another You Beauty recommendation, this time for the not-so-pretty common skin concern of Keratosis Pilaris. So many men and women struggle with this condition, and this body cream has so many rave reviews of dramatically reducing the appearance of the small bumps on the upper arms. I recently have developed quite a few bumps on my arms, so I’m hoping to see some results using this cream.
That’s all for now!
Let me know what skincare you have purchased recently or if you have tried any of the above products! I would love to hear from you 🙂
