Too Faced Dew You: Review

Leigh Campbell made me do it.

I first heard about this Too Faced foundation via Leigh Campbell on the You Beauty podcast. Without getting too much into it, this podcast has recently made me pick up quite a few beauty items over the past couple of weeks (but I’m not complaining – they have all been amazing).

I purchased this foundation from Mecca Maxima for $55 (AUD). My first thoughts were that it is a reasonably priced mid range foundation and I was happy to shell out the money for it. I noticed that there was a decent amount of shades (20 to be exact) but I was specifically looking for one to wear when I have fake tan on my skin.

I then opened the bottle. Holy Guacamole it smells D E L I C I O U S. It’s summery and juicy and smells so good you could eat it-y. So I had to have it.

I wasted no time in trying this, and used it that same night for an event. I only needed a very small amount (less than one pump) to cover my entire face, and was thoroughly impressed with the level of coverage. It isn’t intense full coverage but just enough to cover up uneven skin tone and redness. I still needed concealer on a few of my more scarred sections of my face.

One thing I did notice was that it was a lot less dewy than I expected. For it to have dewy in the name, I was expecting to be dripping in foundation and glowy as heck. Not that I was disappointed, as the coverage is great and the colour was perfect, however I did feel like I looked a little flat and needed to add in more glow with highlighter.

With that being said, I will definitely continue to use this foundation regularly and I am happy with the purchase.

Let me know if you have tried this product, and what your thoughts are!

Love,
